For the Lights & Sights Bus Tour, your festive evening kicks off in front of the central branch of the Denver Public Library in the heart of Denver's Civic Center area. You'll hear some of our team's favorite, fun, lighthearted stories of holiday and Christmas lore & tales of days gone by. This experience was designed to give you the best views and photo opportunities of Denver’s most beautiful and famous landmarks, magnificently lit up for this cheery time of year. This is sure to get even a Scrooge into the holiday spirit!

Besides getting the inside scoop on the famous and incredibly lit-up sights we'll visit, you'll hear about holiday traditions that got their start right here in Denver & other fun Christmas stories that will surprise you.

This experience rolls through the twinkling streets and visits the famous Daniels & Fisher Clock Tower, Larimer Square, The Mile High Tree adorned with thousands of Denver Christmas lights, Christkindl Market (through 12/23), Union Station in LoDo, and drops you off near  Denver's City & County Building, known for its extravagant lights display, just one block from the tour's starting location. 

We give great recommendations on our favorite nearby places to grab a bite to eat or drink after your Denver holiday bus tour wraps up. Meeting Place:

  • Meet your local guide on the sidewalk right in front of the Denver Public Library: Central Library Branch. Meet at front entrance, which faces Broadway and is on the SE corner near W. 13th Ave.

  • The address of the library is: 10 W 14th Ave, Denver

  • Be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the Denver lights tour departure time to ensure you do not miss the arrival or departure of your bus. Denver Christmas lights tours do start and depart on time. If you're not present at the published bus departure time, our team will accept that you've decide not to come or that you've made other plans.

  • Denver lights bus tours operate rain, snow, or shine & when events are happening at or around the City & County Building. There are events many evenings during the holiday season.

    • In cases of extreme weather, our team will contact you with rescheduling or cancellation information at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled departure time, as your safety and the safety of our team members is paramount.

    • Extreme weather that would dictate rescheduling or cancelling:

      • An active blizzard or road conditions causing unsafe driving conditions.

  • Your local guide/driver will be wearing festive holiday apparel. Your 14-passenger tour bus has a mural of the Denver skyline covering the sides of the bus.

  • Denver Christmas lights bus tours are not wheelchair or stroller accessible and cannot accommodate car seats.

Ages:

  • Ages 5+ are welcome to see the Denver lights and sights!  Will your kid(s) like the tour of Denver's lights? That really depends on your kiddo(s)! Our Denver holiday lights tours are suitable and designed to be enjoyed by all ages. Your guide is trained and experienced in working with youth. Youth ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. 

Odds & Ends:

  • Please bring: A camera for some great pics of the Denver holiday lights and some holiday spirit and cheer!

  • There is the Free 16th St. Mall shuttle that can take you to the tour departure location from most downtown hotels. It runs every few minutes.  

  • You will be outside for the City & County Building's Holiday Lights show and to visit the Mile High Tree, so don't forget to dress in layers and prepare appropriately for cold weather! This includes warm boots with good grip., a hat, and gloves or mittens.

  • Please plan on using a restroom prior to coming to the tour, as there are no restroom stops on this Denver bus tour route.

  • Seeing Denver's Christmas lights is a great activity for locals & you family and friends visiting during the holiday season!
